I prefer nonfiction, but can get lost in a good piece of fiction every now and then.
Me too! God bless you.
Agreed!!
I agree with you.
Love all types of styles.
I agree Valerie. Although often I have one of each going at the same time.
I usually have a few books open at the same time. God bless you!
I agree
Fiction first then non-fiction
I used to just read fiction, but about 5 years ago I go an itch and have been loving study.
I have come to love a mixture of nonfiction and fiction books. Especially Bible studies or inspirational books by Jen Hatmaker, Ann VosKamp, Sarah Bessey, Lysa TerKeurst, Lisa Jo Baker, etc. I also have a deep abiding love for historical romance (both Christian and non-Christian), especially if it’s centered on the Old West, mail order brides, and Alaska. I also love all things Amish, and not just because I moved to Amish country two years ago. Their culture is inspiring.
Thank you for sharing this Angieleigh, I was just looking at some great deals in Historical Fiction. I visited several Amish areas and loved it. God bless you.
I like fiction
Hoping to win the $150 Amazon gift card!
Good luck and God bless you!
I prefer non fiction but read fiction sometimes also. Thank you for this chance to win, I missed out on the Breaking Free study because I couldn’t buy the book right now since my husband had a stroke and is off work.
Oh Kay, Praying for you both today. God bless you.
I prefer fiction, although I also enjoy the occasional non-fiction book. I am thankful to LifeVerse Books for providing a daily list of books to choose from.
Thank you Cami, I love searching for all those good deals. I am actually putting a list together now. 😉
I prefer non-fiction but also love to occasionally read fiction.
Non fiction preferred and thank you for giving us a chance to win
I love hosting Giveaways!
I like both depending on my mood. I read a lot of nonfiction but sometimes I get burned out and binge on fiction to replenish before going at it again.
Book Burn Out?
I am a non fiction reader
I love fiction, but gain so much from non fiction that I really try to read more of them.
That is definitely me. I love to learn.
I feel both, fiction and non fiction books add richness to my life. Thank you for offering this gift card opportunity.
Hi Laura, I agree… Books make me feel rich. I have lived in so many poor places where people cannot read and there are no libraries. Reading is one of the most important gifts we can give ourselves and our children. God, Faith and Family as well as the Love of learning. God bless you, Stasia
I love both fiction and non-fiction..I love to read to learn, but sometimes I just need a good “get lost in the story” kind of book.
Me too…. What is your favorite ‘get lost in the story’ story?
Love both fiction and non-fiction – fav is historical fiction – sort of combines both, right?
I prefer non-fiction.
I prefer fiction, but I have read some non-fiction books that I loved.
I prefer non fixtion
I prefer non-fiction.
I love both fiction and non-fiction, but lately have been reading more non-fiction!
I like them both. I can easily get loss in the fiction world but also love knowing the truth of non fiction.
I prefer non-fiction at this point in my life. I have recently begun online Bible studies thanks in part to Women’s Bible Cafe! It gives me much pleasure. I am also reading the Bible more and watching TV less!
Welcome Janice, I am one of the Co-Directors of the Womens Bible Cafe. It is so nice to see you here. God bless you, Stasia
If it’s a Christian genre book I prefer nonfiction; otherwise I prefer fiction.
Such great books! Thank you for sharing these! I prefer nonfiction but enjoy fiction every now and then 🙂
Dear Nicole, Thank you for taking the time to share that. I read more non-fiction than fiction. I love Gift From the Sea, have you ever read it? I actually enjoy the audible more. I am listening to The Magnolia Story AGAIN this week. God bless you, Stasia
I love both and cannot choose. God speaks to me more in the nonfiction but I can relax and unwind with fiction. I am thankful for both and love lifeversebooks.org.
Dearest Teryl, You made my night. Thank you for sharing that. Who is your favorite author? What kind of fiction do you enjoy. I do not like thriller fiction, I post them because I know there are those who enjoy it. Because we were captured in the jungle while we were serving on the mission field years ago, I am sensitive to some themes. I do like adventure and spy-type books. I love Amelia Peabody however, she is not officially inspirational so I have not shared them on the page. God bless you, Stasia
Depends on my mood!
I prefer a mix of fiction and non fiction. Both suit my needs! I love fiction based on non fiction history!
Do you like those Historical Fiction Books? Which era do you enjoy? God bless you, Stasia
I prefer non-fiction, but there is some fiction I like … Charles Martin is a favorite non-fiction.
Hi Vickie, Thank you for sharing. A lot of people love Charles Martin and honestly, I have not read his books yet. Can you recommend one good one for me? God bless you, Stasia
I really enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction. However, when I really want to relax I read fiction.
Dear Melinda, you are a gem. I feel the same. Sometimes I need to get lost in a good story. God bless you, Stasia
I really like both fiction and nonfiction books. It depends on what kind of mood I’m in, whether I will read one or the other.
That is so true… sometimes I want to listen to a good book and learn something. Other times, I want to feel the pages while I read a good story. It depends on the weather and my mood. God bless you, Stasia
I usually go fo nonfiction, but when I truly want to relax and not think to much nonfiction is my go to.
Hi Donita, I love a good story as well. God bless you, Stasia
i am more of a fiction reader.
I prefer fiction when I’m not doing a particular Bible study. Absolutely love to read.
Hi Kay, are you in our Bible Studies at the Womens Bible Cafe? I am one of the Co-Directors and I have been with the WBC since 2010. I LOVE IT! God bless you, Stasia
I like them both!
I prefer fiction but I know I learn important things when I read non-fiction.
Yes, Lisa… I love to listen to a good book that will teach me something. God bless you.
I love true stories based on real life so non fiction.
Danielle, We are missionaries and I have a few great stories on my website. If you ever want to read one, let me know and I will post it on the LifeVerse Face Book Page. YES I love true stories and biographies best. God bless you, Stasia
I enjoy reading fiction and non fiction. I just love reading!
Kindred spirits! God bless you Lorrie!
I prefer non-fiction….but also love a good fiction to just get lost and not have to think sometimes.
I agree. I big cup of tea and a good book. Nearly heaven.
I love fiction – I like getting lost in a story and going to other places!!
Me too. God bless you.
I prefer fiction …it is a 70/30 split. I am so grateful for all of both genres you have! Thank you!!!
Thank you Christine, I was hoping by hosting this Giveaway to get some good feedback on what everyone is looking for in inspirational books. Thank you for sharing.
I’m a non-fiction reader.
I prefer nonfiction in the Christian book genre. Everything else, I like fiction.
I think I should just want to read non-fiction, but sometimes I just want to relax and read fiction!
Me too! I love to dig into a good story once and a while. 😉
I like fiction, but mix it up at times with non-fiction.
I prefer nonfiction – devotionals, studies, and learning! 🙂
I probably download and read more non-fiction but love fiction as well.
Either! Love books!
Nonfiction
I like both fiction and non-fiction. I always have so much to read I’ll be 100 till I get done. Lol. I look forward to your post everyday. Thanks for your hard work in finding these great books for us.
Thank You Polly for sharing. One can never have enough good books. God bless you, Stasia
I preferred fiction but I’ve changed my book reading preferences since walking closer with God. I now prefer non-fiction but would like to see what Christian fiction has to offer.
There are some wonderful Christian Fiction books out there. God bless you.
As long as it is a piece that hits close to home, fiction or non-fiction, I’m on it 🙂 A good book speaks to your heart and for sure, it’s one you won;t be able to put down.
Oh that is so true…
A little of both
