Good Afternoon Readers!

Today you find me writing to you from a rugged old motel in Tombstone, Arizona.  We had a long, hard day of travel yesterday as we turned our compass towards home.  With a very late start because of hugs and goodbyes to our dear friends and hosts during our stay in San Diego as well as the luggage rack giving us trouble, we ended arriving in Tombstone so late that the owner of this little mom and pop motel just left the key to our room taped to the office door and went home for the night.  In all my years I have never stayed in a motel where they closed the reception desk for the night and taped the room key with our names to the office door. 

It gave us a giggle as we surveyed the room decorated with old photos of some of the most notorious gunslingers of the Old West.  This morning brought more laughs when I went to the office to thank the desk clerk/owner and ask about coffee and wifi.  Without looking up from his morning paper, the weathered-face cowboy pointed a worn finger to a century old percolator resting on a tree stump for a table.  I am super glad at this moment that we always bring our own coffee along on these trips.  

Today’s list of FREE*** and Discounted Inspirational books deals is sure to bring some great reads your way.  Thank you once again for being so patient as we travel.   We hope to be home in abut a week.  It has been lovely meeting my new granddaughter, seeing our rambunctious grandson and spending time with family whom we have not seen in decades.  Our younger tribe has met family they never knew and we have built some great memories during this trip.  This is something we have never done before and it has been amazing.
