Good  Morning and Happy Saturday!

Today we lead off another stellar list with “Wait and See:: Finding Peace in God’s Pauses and Plans” by Wendy Pope. This 5-star gem will be like fresh drink of water in the desert for those who struggle with waiting to see God’s promises fulfilled in their lives. This is the kind of book that will both quench your thirst and make you thirst for more of God at the same time!

In Wait and See, Wendy draws on the life of King David to help us
  • focus on the Person of our faith rather than the object of our wait;
  • prepare for the future by participating in God’s work in the present;
  • view God’s pauses as opportunities to know Him better;
  • gain confidence in God’s plans, even during uncertain times; and
  • step out of the security of the known to find peace in the unknown.

As usual, our list in chock-full of great titles.

Happy Reading!

Hi,

Love the service you provide. I just finished reading Walls of Lucca by Steve Physioc. I don’t know if I found if through your site or elsewhere. If it was listed on your website, I wanted to let you know that I would not recommend this book. It has a very specific New Age perspective. The main character believes in God, prayer, meditation and forgiveness. However she is adamant that there is no such thing as sin. If you believe that there is no need for Jesus, and in fact Jesus never comes up in the book. There is also come profanity in the book.

Thanks again,
