Good Morning Book Lovers!

Last night we had the most amazing apple pie for dessert.  Cuddling up with a good book, hot cocoa or warm pie a la mode with family gathered around are just some of the reasons I love autumn.  I have been looking through old trusted recipes as well as searching for new ones as we head into the holiday cooking and baking season.  Here was a cake I found last night from the Three Brothers Bakery in Houston.  Although most small companies have hit hard times, apparently this bakery is still doing well with their shipping of delicious baked goodies such as this amazing Pumpecapple Piecake.

This is such a great idea albeit pricey.  I usually look for recipes that I can hack with what we have available here in Mexico.  One year I made the most delicious Pumpkin Carrot Cream Cheese Bundt in the shape of a pumpkin.  I was so proud of the results and it worked nicely as a centerpiece as well.  I would love to hear your recipes and ideas for the holidays.  We need a little ‘special’ in our holiday this year after ALL the pandemic and election hysteria.
