Buenas Tardes Todos!

Today you find me deep in the heart of Mexico where we have a humble little home that we have lent out to other ministries off and on for the last several years.  Unfortunately, when we checked on the home last year,  it was in complete disrepair and everything of any value was stolen, a door was left opened and all the flooring was ruined due to flooding.  The damages and losses were into the thousands of dollars.

So, my wonderful hubbie camped out and began the needed repairs last year.  He has taken several trips thus far fixing the water tank, replacing the gas tank (thanks to a wonderful ministry we have been a part of over the years) and getting some painting done.  With the fridge and stove gone, he was roughing it as we did what we could with what we have.  As faith-based missionaries we haven’t gotten very far but we do have a little camp stove, a small fridge and the new flooring in as well as most of the walls have been painted.  😉 There are beds and we have a couple of chairs as well!  We are very excited and blessed.  Starting over on any project in life is exciting, the hope outweighs any negative feelings as one anticipates a blessed outcome and we are truly blessed.  🙂

Well, here I am after two long and hot days traveling into the Mexican interior in our faithful old truck (with no air-con in 110+ weather) with our son and Reagan, our wonderful golden retriever.  I will remain here a week to help get a few important things managed and a horribly broken tooth repaired 🙁 (UGH I hate seeing the dentist ever since a horrible experience in China many years ago).  Until we have internet at the house, I am trying to manage these amazing Inspirational Book Deals via a WiFi cafe down the road.  Everything seems to be on Mexican time down here.  😉  All is well and as my dear hubbie says, “the future is as bright as the promises of God over our lives”… isn’t that so true?
