I haven’t had a cup of coffee in weeks. The other day I actually dragged my poor, tired body to the store and bought a bottle of Starbucks Cold Brew. I admit it, I am a hot-mess without my hubbie. He has been away repairing our ministry home deep in Mexico for 42 days now and that means that I have not had a proper coffee since mid-July.
Oh dear Lord Jesus, please send your Spirit because I need Your grace.
My precious hubbie is the most amazing (and handsome) barista ever. Although he has never worked in a coffee bar, he knows how I adore fancy cups of that miraculous little bean and he spent hours learning how to get the froth and designs just right by watching YouTube videos. Just for me, well, and everyone else who comes to visit 😉 Ask anyone, John can brew up an amazing cup of coffee. I, on the other hand, can’t even make a regular old fashioned cup of coffee taste good. As a mater of fact, I have been forbidden to use his machine because I actually blew it up once. That is no lie, he was away on a mission trip and I hadn’t had a proper cup in a couple of weeks (we lived in Mexico back then) so I tried to do it on my own. I obviously had waaay too much confidence in myself. The pressure built up inside the machine and shot the coffee out so fast that the carafe exploded and killed the machine. I still do not know what happened. 😉 Coffee tastes better when someone lovingly makes it for you anyway, so come home soon my beloved!!
I am off to make another pot of tea and get some reading in because I have a paper due. I am rewarding myself with DOUBLE reading time this evening if I get all my washing done after the paper is submitted. 😉 Now it is your turn, please please share a bit of your life with us on our Facebook Page.
