October is my birthday month and this month is a big number for me.  I do not really want or need anything (except books LOL) so I am working with my teens who are doing a community service project for the families in our barrio.  There is a little park we have here across the street.  This small area has two benches and a bit of grass.  It is the responsibility of the neighborhood to maintain it but since the pandemic it has gone uncared for and become a trash heap.  Our goal is to restore it before the end of the month so that we can begin a monthly free movie night for the children who live around here. 

The Lord has blessed us with a projector so we just need to clean up this mess, patch and repaint the long wall white in order to use it as an outdoor screen.  This is a big project for the three of us so we will need to enlist some help for the labor and materials.  We are estimating approximately $300 USD for the entire project.  If 30 people gave $10 each we would be able to create a safer place for the children in our barrio to gather and play as well as provide a place for a family movie night.  If you can help with this project (which also helps my two teens with their community service hours) please feel free to use the PayPal link below and designate your gift Community Service Project.
