Happy Valentine’s Day!

If you are like me, you can never get enough of reading great books! The greatest book of all, the Bible, stands apart from the rest because it is God’s Word. The Bible is full of love stories and in fact is one BIG love story, summed up in one small verse:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

Just remember today that YOU are GOD’S Valentine! He loves you more than you will ever know!

Today I would like to recommend a couple of outstanding titles:

“Before You Open Your Bible: Nine Heart Postures For Approaching God’s Word” by Matt Smethurst.  Although there are a myriad of outstanding resources on how to read and study Scripture, few if any focus exclusively on how to approach it in the first place. That’s what Smethurst provides in this unique “prelude” to opening your Bible.
