Our heartfelt prayers to all who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. I am still waiting to hear from my daughter and son-in-law, as well as our family and loved ones who live in San Antonio and all along the coast. Although we have been receiving tropical storm and flooding alerts via our Red Cross App (we even received a few tornado alerts), we are fine. Today we have high winds and are expecting more rain off and on through the weekend. Thank you for praying for us. God is faithful. I want to take a moment to encourage you to share how you are prepared for an emergency in the comments below. Do you have food and water set aside? Do you use an app for alerts and contacting your loved ones? Do you have a plan in place that everyone knows? We use the Red Cross Emergency App. It is a wonderful tool that sends alerts and allows you to check on your loved ones.
