Today’s list of FREE and Discounted books is huge. There are enough Bestsellers at bargain prices to keep you reading until summer. I am particularly excited about The Shack by William P. Young, but not for the reasons you may think. Nearly 10 years ago, I tried but failed to read it. That book brought up a plethora of painful experiences that I couldn’t deal with at the time. No matter how hard I tried, I could not finish reading it. This is unique for me as an avid reader because I always finish what I am reading. Books are like a fancy dessert and who doesn’t like to gobble one up? At any rate, my husband went to see The Shack at the theater last week and wants me to go see it with him. Now, I have a double dilemma. What self-respecting bookworm sees a movie based on a book BEFORE reading the book? So as you can see, I have my work cut out for me this Spring Break.
