Good Morning Saints!

Knowing God and Making Him known. Knowing we are loved–and loving ourselves, so we can love God and others. These two threads go hand in hand. Today we lead off with three books that address that subject.

“Loveable: Embracing What Is Truest About You, So You Can Truly Embrace Your Life” by Kelly Flanagan. Psychologist, father and blogger Flanagan answers three fundamental human questions: Am I enough? How do I become unlonely? Do I matter? He shows us how to rediscover our worthiness and remember that we are good enough. He encourages us to shed the false self that keeps us lonely and to find people who accept us as we are. And he inspires us to fully embrace our passions, regardless of how ordinary those passions may be. Reading like an extended love letter to readers, Loveable uncovers three essential truths: you are enough, you are not alone, and you matter.

“Honest. Moving. Vulnerable. Encouraging. This is a great book from a master therapist. It is among the best contemporary books I have read.” (Reviewer)

“Rhythms of Renewal: Trading Stress and Anxiety for a Life of Peace and Purpose” by Rebekah Lyons. Daily struggles with anxiety and stress make it difficult to receive God’s peace. Rhythms of Renewal will help you trade your anxiety for the vibrant life you were meant to live through four profound rhythms: rest, restore, connect, and create. With encouraging stories and practical steps, Rebekah Lyons will help you begin an intentional, lifelong journey toward sustained emotional, relational, and spiritual health.

“Rebekah Lyons has always been one of my favorite inspirational speakers and she is my favorite to read. Her words flow freely and it feels as if she is in the room talking with you.” (Reviewer)

“A Spectacle of Glory: God’s Light Shining through Me Every Day” by Joni Eareckson Tada. Do you ever wonder why God created you? The Bible spells it out plainly: God created you to showcase His glory—to enjoy it, display it, and demonstrate it every day to all those you encounter. After nearly 50 years of living as a quadriplegic, and dealing with chronic pain on a daily basis, Joni has learned firsthand the importance of glorifying God through the toughest of situations.

“This devotional is fantastic!. I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling in any way, which includes just about all of us! Joni is such a special person and has gained so much insight into the Christian life through the Word of God.” (Reviewer)
