Spread the Word!

Good Morning Friends!

Here is a quote I came upon today:

“If we are imprisoned in ourselves, books provide us with the means of escape. If we have run too far away from ourselves, books show us the way back.”  ~Holbrook Jackson

So many people are struggling right now because of the restrictions of the world-wide pandemic. I would encourage you to take advantage of this time by spending more time in God’s Word and in good books. Inspirational reading is medicine to the soul. Good books are windows to heaven! In our world of fast moving news cycles and social media, books can too often sit unread and unappreciated. Your Kindle can be your best friend in these trying times!

Today’s list of inspirational Kindle eBooks has something for everyone. Here are three suggestions to get you started:

“Remarkable Faith: When Jesus Marveled at the Faith of Unremarkable People” by by Shauna Lettellier. This collection of inspirational vignettes, based on eight of the Bible’s unlikely examples of faith, will give readers a fresh intimacy with Jesus. Written to encourage and relieve discouraged Christians who wonder if their faith is a disappointment to God, this book will demonstrate that remarkable faith-the kind Jesus marveled about-isn’t about achieving or performing.

“I not only loved learning more about these Bible characters stories’ and encounters with Jesus, I loved seeing faith and miracles unfold! Shauna did a wonderful job in weaving theology, scripture, and fiction into a great marriage of beautiful writing.” (Reviewer)

“Thunder Dog: The True Story of a Blind Man, His Guide Dog, and the Triumph of Trust at Ground Zero”  by Michael Hingson. This a story that will forever change your spirit and your perspective. A true story that emerged from ground zero on 9-11, this is a story of heroism, faith and trust. It demonstrates how the rare trust between a blind man and his guide dog can inspire an unshakable faith in each one of us.

“This was a remarkable, informative and captivating true story. Thunder DOG is built on the true loyalty, devotion and compassion of a blind man and his remarkable guide dog Roselle. Through their harrowing experience of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks on The World Trade Center and the Bonded Faith and Trust between Man and DOG this story will really let you know what your GOD given priorities should really be in this short time we have here on earth.” (Reviewer)

“Secrets Jesus Shared: Kingdom Insights Revealed Through the Parables” by Jennifer Kennedy Dean.

“This was a great book with a lot of teachable moments. Well written and I learned a great deal about the times and culture that existed when Jesus walked the earth. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking to the scriptures for deeper understanding.” (Reviewer)

Happy Reading!
